The recent work of Dié-Go, with its horizontal structures and bright colours, is punctuated by signs, symbols, sketches and lines.
His paintings arouse the primal profound language in each of us, the language where symbols take us back to a mythical place, an essential and ancient history which mingles with current events and confronts us with the depth of time.
In his burning fires of hot colours, we discover fragments of manuscripts salvaged from oblivion as well as informative texts pulled from the present which, when taken out of their context, are frozen in their peculiarity. We peruse fragments of maps which evoke faraway interior odysseys or unlikely territories marked by the rhythm of scattered numbers escaped from studious calculations and scholarly formulas taken back to their graphic beauty.

Dié-Go gives the strength of plastic permanence to all of these remainders of time and locks them up forever in resin like in amber fossil.
As for us, seized by this quiet abundance, we confusedly feel that we are dealing with something true and important.
